i believe the hanged man represents the traitor--didnt judas hang himself in one version, forget what the other one is--but your lowest trait (genius) balances your angel (leading trait), so there will be more to the rest of that story
the cross represents man under the influence of the two xtra threads that were added to the web of life, a vegetated christ (the imagination never manifests as itself in the physical but works thru people on the earth)and a virgin eve (mary), both of which are blasphemies to nature [if the imagination manifested in the physical think how soon those thought would pile up and spill out your ears JK]
the biblical account in genesis is part of a fall that happened already, division, the creation of this world the result of the demiurge; read it to see the division
we dont go back to eden; but the infant state (innocence) is synthesized with the state of experience to advance the soul so it wont do u any good atall to be good all the time--experience isnt always so pleasant
i think pegs might still be rooted in the infant state, hence the aliens--deduced from various reversals and blake--i know full well its experience for me

from night thoughts:
And, if incomprehensible is join'd, Who dare pronounce it madness to believe? Why has the mighty Builder thrown aside All measure in His work; stretch'd out His line So far, and spread amazement o'er the whole? 820 Then, (as He took delight in wide extremes,) Deep in the bosom of His universe, Dropp'd down that reasoning mite, that insect, man, To crawl, and gaze, and wonder, at the scene?— That man might ne'er presume to plead amazement 825
